Cozy Chunk Mittens *Made-to-Order*

$125.00

Mittens constructed from the scraps leftover from Cozy Chunk Scarf “production”.

Made of second-hand textiles, specifically, pre-loved wool sweaters. Outer is a 100% wool mix (alpaca, shetland, mohair, lambswool, etc.) Lining is made with 100% cashmere OR merino for softness and warmth. Wool may be visibly patched or mended.

Completely one of a kind and made-to-order by Lauren. These are thoughtfully pieced works of wearable art. Made for all human beans. Yes, you.

Pictured: Examples of what your mittens could look like in the Bubblegum Pop, Maroon Punch, Evergreen Thicket or Chartreuse Forest colorways. (See Cozy Chunk Scarves for more reference.) Your unique mittens will have any combination of the colors seen in the pictures. Colors may vary from screen to screen. Think bubblegum pink, fuchsia, turquoise, sky blue, yellows, light grays and creamy neutrals for Bubblegum Pop. Think maroon, purples, reds, grays and mid-tone neutrals for Maroon Punch. Think navy, dark teal, dark greens, maroon, and mid-tone neutrals for Evergreen Thicket. Think chartreuse, greens, browns and creamy neutrals for Chartreuse Forest.

WOOL CARE:

Wool should be dry cleaned or spot cleaned to avoid shrinking or damage to fibers. If washing at home, use wool-safe detergent to gently wash by hand in room temperature water, avoiding too much agitation, gently squeeze out excess water, re-shape wool while damp (if needed) and lay flat to dry.

Steaming / Ironing - Ironing wool or synthetic fabrics can damage the fibers (burn or melt), so it is not recommended on this style. This specific style utilizes a majority of 100% wool fabrics, but some fabrics have unknown fiber content, so test iron or steam on low heat before raising temperature to wool settings. Always use an ironing cloth or piece of cotton between the iron and the wool. Press iron, do not glide.

SHIPPING:

Please allow 2-4 weeks for production time. Your mittens are made-to-order using limited, upcycled materials. It may have 20 - 40 scrap pieces sewn together. That alone takes time and patience.. lol This is a one person studio. <3

Returns are not accepted, as these are made-to-order works of wearable art. Exchanges will be accepted on a case-by-case basis. If you ordered the wrong size, exchanges are offered as long as the original garment is unworn, unwashed and completely intact. Exchanges based on aesthetic dislike are not accepted, so please order wisely. Exchange inquiries must be made within 2 weeks of delivery. Shipping charges will be paid by customer.

NOTE FROM LAUREN:

Thank you immensely for joining me on this exploration of fashion design and fiber art. Thank you for choosing slow fashion. These materials get to experience a new cycle of life because of your support. That’s pretty cool. I hope my garments make you feel super jazzed and swaggy <3
